After describing the problem and misperceptions concerning suicide attacks, Botha provides a history of attacks in Kenya, Tanzania, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, and Somalia. Botha discusses al-Shabaab suicide attacks in Somalia, AQIM attacks in the Maghreb and the situation in Nigeria. The study also offers comments on preventing future suicide attacks.
