The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) published in October 2014 a 12 page study titled "
Why Strategic Foresight Matters for Africa" by Julia Schunemann, who leads the African Futures Project at ISS. She concludes that African countries must think more systematically about long-term trends and plan for the future if they are to take advantage of opportunities arising from economic growth.
