The Economist published a piece on 25 July 2015 titled "
Africa and America: The Prodigal Grandson Returns." It makes some useful comparisons concerning the United States and China in Africa, noting that Sino-African trade continues to outpace US-African trade while US aid to Africa is much higher than Chinese aid to Africa.
