This is a brief comparison of
five second tier non-Western external actors in Africa: India, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. It compares their trade, aid, investment, peacekeeping, and security relationships. My definition of first tier countries engaged with Africa includes the United States, China, France and perhaps the UK.
