The report offers an assessment of humanitarian needs in South Kordofan State based on field research conducted in July-August 2013 by researchers who have asked to remain anonymous. An independent humanitarian expert, Steven Hansch, has endorsed the methodology of the study, which deals with a region where internationals are not given permission to enter.
