panel discussion about recent developments in Somalia, the Westgate Mall bombing in Kenya, and al-Shabaab. The panelists were He Wenping, African studies expert at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Joyce Njogu, TV producer with the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation; and myself.
