Seychelles Committed to Indian Naval Base" by Kallol Bhattacherjee. The article quotes Seychelles President James Michel as stating that India and the Seychelles are moving forward with a joint naval facility on Assumption Island. This announcement comes in the wake of China's acknowledgement that it is negotiating with Djibouti for a military facility.
