China has named new ambassadors to Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. The changes occurred well before normal assignments had been completed in Nigeria and Kenya. They probably reflect a prominent promotion for China's former ambassador to Kenya and a desire to put a new face on China's troubled relations with Nigeria.
