Introduction

This blog will document Amb. Shinn's frequent interviews with the news media on a variety of topics relating to Africa and to Chinese-African relations, as well as his published articles and chapters. It will also contain Amb. Shinn's occasional reflections on the field. The site is maintained by Jaclyn Schiff, a writer and PR specialist who is a former student of Amb. Shinn's (see Jaclyn's site here), and by Menachem Wecker, assistant director of public affairs for publications and media at The George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs, where Amb.
