Egypt, Sudan and Darfur

In July 2010, the Norwegian Peacebuilding Centre published a good analysis of Egypt’s role and concern about the ongoing conflict in Darfur.

Titled "Egypt and the Darfur Conflict," the authors, Jacob Høigilt and Øystein Rolandsen, concluded that Egypt has the political stature and regional influence to impel the parties to the conflict to negotiate in earnest.
