Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood

For a highly readable and balanced analysis of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, I recommend Lorenzo Vidino's "Egyptian Crosscurrents: The Muslim Brotherhood and Democracy on the Nile" published by the George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute.

It contains a section on the Brotherhood in the post-Mubarak era. Over the years, the Muslim Brotherhood has influenced Islamist movements in the Horn of Africa, especially in Sudan and Somalia.

The analysis is available here (PDF).
