Engaging China in trilateral cooperation in Africa

Sven Grimm, director of the Centre for Chinese Studies at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, published a brief paper in February 2011 on engaging China in trilateral cooperation in Africa.

The paper looks into the rationale and practice of Chinese assistance cooperation policy and how it relates to the practice of western development assistance. It offers useful advice on the best way to move forward in Africa on trilateral cooperation involving China and emphasizes the challenges.
