I was invited to participate in the Fifth Symposium on “U.S.-China Relations in a Global Context” in Beijing on June 1-3.
The George Washington University's China Policy Program and China Institute of International Studies in Beijing hosted the event. Teams of specialists from China and the United States covered all major regions of the world.
My remarks included long-term themes in U.S. policy towards Africa, U.S. interests in Africa, U.S. policy towards Africa, areas for U.S.-China collaboration in Africa and challenges hindering U.S.-China cooperation in Africa.
