New China-Africa Book

The University of Pennsylvania Press has just released our book titled China and Africa: A Century of Engagement. This book, which is co-authored by me and Joshua Eisenman, represents six years of research and writing. It is designed to serve as the first baseline study of the subject since Bruce Larkin's China and Africa 1949-1970 published in 1971 and Alaba Ogunsanwo's China's Policy in Africa 1958-1971 published in 1974.

The book covers all aspects of the China-Africa relationship. Each chapter contains a major historical setting. The book covers all 54 countries in Africa and has a synopsis of each bilateral relationship with China.
