Ethiopia's President Studied in China and Was Ambassador to China
Ethiopia's new President, Mulatu Teshome, has a long connection with China. During the 1970s, he studied under a Chinese government scholarship at Peking University and subsequently served as Ethiopia's ambassador to China. A significant number of African leaders have studied in North America and Europe. China has joined the list of countries educating African leaders. On 5 April 2014, CCTV had an interview with President Mulatu on his experiences in China.
