Study on Contact Group on Somali Piracy

The Denver-based Oceans Beyond Piracy released a report in April 2014 titled "Burden-sharing Multi-level Governance: A Study of the Contact Group on Piracy off the Coast of Somalia" by Danielle A. Zach, City University of New York, D. Conor Seyle, One Earth Future Foundation, and Jens Vestergaard Madsen, Oceans Beyond Piracy.

The report's aim is to analyze the Contact Group's historical development and to evaluate its utility as a model for solving complex transnational problems.  It details trends and success of the anti-piracy effort as well as its economic and human costs.
