The China Africa Research Initiative at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies published in October 2017 a brief study titled "Community Engagement in Chinese and American Gold Mining Companies: A Comparative Case Study of Ghana" by Yang Jiao, visiting professor at Miami University in Ohio.
The report presents the results of field research examining local engagement by a Chinese company and American company operating in Ghana.
