The South China Morning Post published on 11 August 2020 an article titled "Could Quality Problems Unravel China's Coronavirus Mask Diplomacy in Africa?" by Jevans Nyabiage.
The government of Kenya concluded that COVID-19 face masks imported from China are of inferior quality. A number of European countries have expressed similar complaints. If other African countries come to the same conclusion, this could be the end of China's face mask diplomacy in Africa.
