UNHCR posted on 11 December 2020 an article titled "Ethiopian Refugees Report Obstacles to Reach Safety in Sudan as Numbers Approach 50,000."
Ethiopian refugees, who now number about 50,000, headed for Sudan tell of increasing difficulties as they walk across Tigray Region. UNHCR is especially concerned about the status of nearly 100,000 Eritrean refugees in Tigray Region, many of whom are there in an effort to escape Eritrean National Service.
