The International Peace Institute's Global Observatory posted on 25 January 2021 a commentary titled "The Tigray Conflict in Ethiopia: Post-War Ramifications and International Response" by Jon Abbink, University of Leiden.
This account by a well known scholar of Ethiopian studies will be well received in Addis Ababa, not so much in Mekelle. The author calls for the investigation of human rights abuses in Tigray Region. Yes, but it is essential to investigate the abuses committed by all parties to the conflict and hold persons accountable.
