New Course in U.S.-Ethiopia Relations

 The Voice of America published on 25 February 2021 a story titled "US Restoration of Foreign Aid to Ethiopia Signals New Course" by Salem Solomon.

The Biden administration reversed the Trump administration's policy of pausing $270 million in aid to Ethiopia because of its failure to first reach an agreement with Egypt and Sudan on filling the reservoir behind the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Blue Nile.  The Biden administration is now reviewing what to do with the "paused" aid money to ensure it goes where it is most needed.
