There is widespread outside agreement that the food situation in Tigray Region is fast reaching an alarming situation and could soon result in famine, although the government of Ethiopia says the matter is under control.
In addition to allowing unfettered access to Tigray Region by humanitarian aid organizations, the conflicting information calls out for an independent investigation of what is happening on the ground there.
