Africa Spectrum published online in October 2021 a research article titled "A Marriage of Convenience on the Rocks? Revisiting the Sino-Angolan Relationship" by Paulo de Carvalho, Dominik Kopinski, and Ian Taylor.
The authors conclude that the Sino-Angolan marriage of convenience is experiencing a period of rocky introspection, one in which the notion of China having sway in Angola can finally be laid to rest.
