Aljazeera published on 6 October 2021 a detailed report titled "'Finish Us Off': Ethiopia's Qemant Say Targeted in Armed Campaign" by Zecharias Zelalem.
Representatives of the Qemant, a small ethnic minority that lives in Amhara Region, claim that Amhara militia have singled them out for attack because they have allegedly supported neighboring Tigrayans.
