Foreign Affairs published on 2 June 2022 an article titled "Ethiopia's Invisible Ethnic Cleansing: The World Can't Afford to Ignore Tigray" by Agnes Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International, and Kenneth Roth, Executive Director of Human Rights Watch.
Largely hidden from view, the authors argue that a policy of ethnic cleansing has been under way in western Tigray since the outbreak of conflict in Ethiopia in November 2020.
