The Council of the European Union published on 22 December 2022 a press release titled "Ethiopia: Statement by the High Representative on Behalf of the EU."
The statement expressed support for the Ethiopian peace deal and called "for an immediate and complete withdrawal of Eritrean troops from Ethiopia."
