Ethiopia Insight published on 5 January 2023 a commentary titled "A Message to Foreign Commentators on Ethiopian Politics" by Daniel Hailu, Litmus Research and Consultancy.
The author argues that foreigners should take into account three elements of Ethiopian psychology when they evaluate internal developments:
--Ethiopians tend to see things in black and white, resulting in little flexibility.
--Ethiopians look to their leaders to distinguish friends and enemies.
--To assess the veracity of information, Ethiopians ask not only if it supports their narratives and interests but also if it opposes and undermines their foes.
