Amhara Fano militias carried out more attacks in Amhara Region from August to September than during any previous two-month period since the beginning of the Fano insurgency. The recent attacks have been concentrated in North and South Wollo zones of eastern Amhara Region. Fano continues, however, to be constrained by internal disagreements.
