Catholic Bishops of Ethiopia Call for Implementation of Peace Agreement

 The Vatican News published on 27 December 2022 an appeal titled "Ethiopian Bishops Applaud Peace Agreement for Tigray" by Lisa Zengarini.

The Catholic Bishops of Ethiopia on 22 December urged all stakeholders to ensure implementation of the peace agreement.  Although Catholics represent a small minority of the population, the Bishops also added their voice for the full withdrawal of Eritrean troops from Tigray Region.

 The Vatican News published on 21 January 2022 an article titled "Tigray Church Denounces Conflict, Loss of Lives in Ethiopian Region."

The Adigrat Diocese of the Catholic Church in Tigray Region condemned the ongoing human rights abuses and urged the international community to exert pressure for political dialogue and unrestricted humanitarian access.
