The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace has just released three brief but informative reports on Sudan as it approaches the Jan. 9 referendum on the future of Southern Sudan. One is a backgrounder on the referendum in Southern Sudan.
Another discusses the Abyei referendum, for which no date has been set.
The third piece is an analysis by Marina Ottaway on the “Birth of a New Nation.”
