U.S. Intelligence and Africa

U.S. Director of National Intelligence, James R. Clapper, testified before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence 31 January 2012 on global issues. He also released an Unclassified Statement for the Record on the Worldwide Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community.

The unclassified document contains an analysis of Sub-Saharan Africa on pages 18-19 and North Africa on pages 14-15. The sections concerning Africa deal only with Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, the Great Lakes Region, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia.
