Chinese Muslims Along the Nile

Small numbers of Muslims from northwest China are making their way to Egypt to study Arabic and religion.  In a short but fascinating travel piece by Su Junxia, Humboldt University in Berlin, and Daniel Krahl, German Institute for International and Security Affairs, the authors describe the goals and experiences of this community.  The column titled "From the Yellow River to the Nile" appeared on the website of the Centre for Chinese Studies at Stellenbosch University on 14 January 2013.
