China in Africa: Sino-optimists and Sino-pessimists

Pambazuka News published on 30 April 2014 a piece titled "China in Africa: Neither Devil Nor Angel" by Seifudein Adem, Binghamton University.  He evaluates the relationship from the standpoint of Sino-optimists and Sino-pessimists.  He concludes there seems to be a correlation between ideology and discourse about Sino-African relations.  If one is leftist, one is also likely to be Sino-optimist.
