Journalistic Practices of CCTV Africa

The Centre for Chinese Studies (CCS) at Stellenbosch University published in May 2014 a study titled "Live, Talk, Faces: An Analysis of CCTV's Adaptation to the African Media Market" by Bob Wekesa, University of Witwatersrand, and Zhang Yanqiu, Institute of Journalism and Communication at the Communication University of China.

The study seeks to find out the types of journalistic genres, practices and styles that CCTV Africa has employed in Africa.  It also offers a more comprehensive picture of journalistic practices at CCTV Africa by evaluating the channel's news, talk shows, and feature programming.
