The Center for Policy Analysis & Research (CfPAR) asked me to comment 22 June 2014 on the 3 June 2014 speech by Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman concerning U.S. policy towards Somalia. The interview offers my interpretation of several of her key remarks and includes a response to a question about China and the United States in Africa generally.
