The World Bank has published its global Doing Business ranking for 2017 and its report on Djibouti. This annual survey is based on the following ten factors: starting a business, dealing with construction permits, getting electricity, registering property, getting credit, protecting minority investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts, and resolving insolvency. It then provides an overall score for these factors.
Out of 190 economies surveyed for 2017, Djibouti scored number 171 on the overall ease of doing business, a drop of three places from its score in 2016. This compares with a score of 159 for Ethiopia and 180 for Chad.
