The Conversation published on 17 November 2016 a commentary titled "Chinese Literature in Africa: Meaningful or Simply Ceremonial?" by Catherine Gilbert, King's College London.
So far, the author concludes that the translation of Chinese literature in Africa primarily fulfills a ceremonial and diplomatic function.
