Ending Ethnic Violence in Ethiopia

African Arguments posted on 26 November 2020 a commentary titled "Why the Third Layer of Ethiopia's Conflict May Be the Most Worrying" by Mohammed Girma, Roehampton University.

The author identifies three layers of conflict in Ethiopia: political (ethnic federalism vs. pan-Ethiopianism), personal ego of leaders, and communal or ethnic-based violence. He believes ethnic violence will be the most difficult layer to resolve.
