Ethiopia Insight posted on 3 February 2021 a commentary titled "For Years I Opposed the TPLF, But I Also Oppose This War on Tigray" by Goitam Tsegay, vice chairman of Arena Tigray for Democracy and Sovereignty.
The author argues that defeating the TPLF is unlikely to result in peace in Tigray Region. Only federal government negotiation with Tigrayan militias and "political parties in Tigray" can open a path to peace.
