The White House issued a statement on 24 September 2021 concerning National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan's Call with Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.
Sullivan expressed concern over any attempt to interrupt Sudan's progress towards democracy, announced a visit to Khartoum by U.S. Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman, and said President Biden looks forward to hosting Prime Minister Hamdok "in the near future."
