Forbes published on 30 May 2022 an article titled "China Mining Billionaire to Invest $300 Million in Zimbabwe Lithium Project" by Gloria Haraito.
Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt, controlled by Chinese billionaire Chen Xuehua, will invest $300 million in a lithium mine in Zimbabwe, which is believed to hold the largest reserves in Africa. Lithium is used for batteries in electric vehicles.
