The Somaliland Standard published on 11 July an article titled "Somali President Visits Missing Soldiers in Eritrea."
An estimated 5,000 Somali soldiers have been "training" in Eritrea for the past 3 years. New Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud had an opportunity to meet them on his just completed visit to Eritrea. The question is what have the Somali soldiers been doing during their 3 years of "training." Does training really take that long?
Comment: There is strong evidence that at least some of these troops were sent to Tigray Region of Ethiopia to fight alongside Eritrean troops against Tigrayan forces.
