The Africa Center for Strategic Studies published on 24 January 2023 a commentary titled "Africa's Role in China's Multilateralism Strategy" by Paul Nantulya.
African support is critical to China's efforts to reshape global institutions in a way that more effectively achieves China's interests. Consequently, China has invested heavily in the Global South and become more overtly assertive as it works to reshape the international system.
