The US Institute of Peace (USIP) published on 17 March 2023 a commentary titled "Peace for Ethiopia: What Should Follow Blinken's Visit?" by Susan Stigant, director of Africa programs at USIP.
The author suggests the United States must press all sides of the conflict to ameliorate the humanitarian crisis and advance justice and reconciliation to address atrocities committed and damage caused during the war.
