Boston University's Global Development Policy Center posted on 9 October 2023 a report titled "The BRI at Ten: Maximizing the Benefits and Minimizing the Risks of China's Belt and Road Initiative" by Kevin P. Gallagher, William N. Kring, Rebecca Ray, Oyintarelado Moses, Cecilia Springer, Lin Zhu, and Yan Wang.
The report synthesizes the work of the Global Development Policy Center by evaluating China's overseas economic activity in general and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) in particular. It finds that the BRI has delivered significant benefits to the countries that China has engaged with, but has also accentuated real risks for China and host countries alike.
