The Associated Press published on 3 October 2023 an article titled "EU Announces New Aid Package to Ethiopia, the First Since the War."
Suspended since late 2020, the European Union has pledged assistance worth 650 million euros to Ethiopia. The EU said it is time to gradually normalize relations and rebuild a mutually reinforcing partnership with Ethiopia. Budgetary support, however, remains suspended.
