China-Egypt trade declined to $13.9 billion in 2023 compared to $16.6 billion in 2022. The 2023 trade balance strongly favored China, which exported $12.9 billion in goods to Egypt while it imported only $909 million in goods from Egypt. Chinese investment in Egypt increased from $563 million in fiscal year 2021/2022 to $957 million in fiscal year 2022/2023.
