The Center for Global Development (CGD) published on 23 August 2013 a blog piece titled "China-Africa Health Cooperation: A New Era?" by Victoria Fan, a research fellow at CGD.
The first Ministerial Forum on China-Africa Health Development commemorated this year the 50th anniversary of China-Africa health cooperation that began in 1963. The Forum issued the Beijing Declaration. Fan writes that these developments may well mark a turning point in the history of Chinese development and health cooperation with Africa.
