Russia's Military Cooperation with Angola
The African Executive ran a story in its 23-30 October 2013 edition titled "Surfing Russia's Military Cooperation with Angola" by Kester Kenn Klomegah, an independent researcher and freelance journalist. He questions the need for Angola's recent purchase of high performance SU-30K fighter aircraft from Russia. I am quoted in the article. Uganda and Ethiopia have also purchased this aircraft or have shown serious interest.

Russian Arms Sales to Africa
Kester Kenn Klomegah, former editorial staff member of The Moscow Times and contributor to Inter Press Service, did an in depth article on Russian arms sales to Africa. The article, titled "Russia: Raising Arms Sales," appeared in the 21 March 2013 spyghana.com. Arms have become a major commercial export by Russia to Africa.
A somewhat different version of this story appeared on 4 April 2013 in the Guardian Africa network under the title "Russia Eyes Africa to Boost Arms Sales."
