As the Jan. 9, 2011, date approaches for the scheduled referendum on the future of Southern Sudan, think tanks and non-governmental organizations continue to flood the internet with analyses of the impact of this event on Sudan.
The most recent one is dated Dec. 10, 2010 from Refugees International titled “Sudan: The 30-Day Countdown.”
The focus is on perfectly good policy recommendations, aimed mostly at UN organizations, but it is a little late now to make policy changes.
